FACE 2 FACE & VISIONS Beauty & Style Exhibit
“The exhibit first started, like any, as a dream. I wanted to shoot the celebrities I know for my personal website, work with the people I’ve worked with and trust. But somehow, my friends were able to convince me to put up a full-blown beauty exhibit instead........>>>>>
“At first, I didn’t know how to pull things together. Fortunately, the people who egged me on were in full support; the project was in full swing and the dream slowly materialized.“
Originally, I just wanted to shoot the subjects in two very opposite layouts each. I’ve already worked with members of the team on different projects but it was my first time to work with them all together.
“As the project progressed, I realized that each person in the team—photographer, stylist, model—offered something different. Everyone had a different approach to things, and these things were gathered from their experiences and life stories. Every story, we all believed, has a flip side.....>>>>
These stories were projected on our muses, our muses projected her own, and what came out was something that we are all proud of. That’s what I love about the magical process called collaboration— something original, unexpected and inspired always comes out.
“Through the images in Face 2 Face, we hope we are all able to tell our stories—the good and the bad, our fantasies and realities.
“I am very lucky—and honored—to be able to work with a team bursting with creativity and inspiration. I am more than happy to be able to do the faces of luminaries, celebrities, ingénues and friends that we admire. This project is a dream come true not only for me, but for everyone in the team.....>>>>>
